Choosing an engineering course involves more than comparing ATARs, prerequisites and course descriptions. Different universities offer different experiences, specialisations and opportunities — and the course that suits one student may not be the best fit for another.

After working with hundreds of students as a career counsellor, I’m also aware that it’s hard to know what other careers are out there that require similar skills or are in the same industries.
